While at first glance a business owner might think that this will cover products they deliver, that is not strictly true. This coverage is for hire only. So if you are in the sand and gravel business and you need to deliver gravel to a customer of yours on the westside of the Portland Metro Area, this coverage is not for you. However if you own a dump truck and a sand and gravel business hires you to use your truck to deliver thier gravel to their customer in Oregon, this coverage is for you.
The key words here are for hire. You are hired to deliver (and don't own or work for the company providing the product to be delivered) this is for you. You need to deliver your own product, this is not going to be what you need.
If you own the business providing the product, your general commercial liablity contract will likely cover your exposure. Be sure to read your contract carefully to review your coverages, limitations, and exclusions.
Give us a call at Insuresource Agencies (westside) or Pulse Insurance, LLC (eastside) for additional information on Cargo coverage availability for your for hire delivery needs.
